In December 2008, the RRHA family lost member W. Gordon “Gordie” Beall to cancer. Gordon played for Team Blue in several annual alumni hockey games and below is an excerpt from one of the last status updates he sent us approximately a month before his passing …
“One of my goals is to be at the Alumni game in 2009. You gotta set goals as it helps with the treatment.”
Those of us who played with or knew Gordie will always remember him as setting a fine example for us all with his easy going temperment, dedication and work ethic.
