The Ryerson Rams Hockey Alumni 2002 golf tournament was played at Hockley Valley Resort on Saturday, July 6, 2002. Hockley Valley is located near Orangeville, which is 20 minutes north of Brampton on Hwy 10., 45 minutes from downtown Toronto. Click here for directions and a map.
Although our numbers were down a bit this year, we made more money than at previous tournaments, which is the main goal of this event. The golf, the weather, the facility and the meal were all fantasic.
Many thanks to Hockley Valley resort and Head Golf Professional, James Sheppard for making our event our most successful golf tournament to date. We have been invited back to play there again next year. This year’s event, which was open to anyone, was attended by many special guests such as David Dubois (Director of Athletics), Ed Kirsten (Head Coach), Jim Peffers (Assistant Coach), and several current players, which is always great to see.
A special presentation was made to Ryan Love, who just completed his fifth and last year as a Ryerson Ram. Congratulations from all of us Ryan, and all the best as you move on to the next phases of your life.
