2017 Ryerson Hockey Alumni Golf Tournament
18th Annual – Friday, June 9th, 2017
The 18th Annual Ryerson Rams Hockey Alumni Golf Tournament was held at BraeBen Golf Course in Mississauga on Friday June 9th, 2017. A BBQ lunch was served at 11:30am followed by a modified shotgun start at 1:00pm.
Some great prizes were donated this year, including a limited edition Mitch Marner print.
This year’s tournament was attended by special guests Al and Brigitte Kavanagh who recently committed to donate $1,000,000 to Ryerson Hockey. It was a pleasure to have them join us.
Also present were 14 team mates of the late John Saunders who played for the Rams in the mid 70’s but passed away shortly after attending this tournament in 2016. Some of John’s team mates came from as far away as New Jersey, Michigan and Northern Ontario and we’d like to thank them for making the effort.
Several current players and future prospects participated in the tournament and mingled with the other guests afterwards. According to Coach Duco, Rams are looking forward to another successful season with a very fast team.
