The John Saunders #4 Award

February 2nd is the late John Saunders’ birthday.  A home game is selected on or about that date and John’s team mates from the 1970’s get together for “The Birthday Game”.   

John’s team mates have created The #4 Award, which is to be awarded annually in John’s memory to the Rams most valuable defenceman. The selection process involves input from John’s team mates who attend games throughout the season, input from the coaching staff and team statistical analytics. The recipient is announced prior to The Birthday Game.
